Red sand dunes, stunning sunsets, peace and beauty await all who climb aboard the bus for a five day exploration of the Kgalagadi, Augrabies Falls and Cederberg on this all-inclusive tour.
After transfer overnight to Upington, our first stop is the quirky Molopo Lodge, on the outskirts of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Early the next morning we visit "Bosmansrus"; home to the original inhabitants of the Kalahari Desert, the Khomani San (bushman) people. A two-hour tracking and traditional lore experience is shared with us, an unforgettable glimpse into the Northern Cape as it was.
Our next adventure awaits at the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, where we board a safari vehicle for a guided tour. Spend a half-day searching for the fascinating creatures that inhabit the park; meerkat, wild cat, owls, eagles, and if we are lucky, leopard, cheetah and Black-Maned Lion.
The following morning we head off for the mighty Augrabies Falls, for an adrenaline-pumping half day of white water rafting. We start our journey home the following morning, stopping to camp at a lush green terraced camp perched at the foot of the Cederberg Mountains. ________________________________________

DAY 1: Upington / Molopo Kalahari Lodge: Overnight transfer to Upington by luxury bus, truck transfer to the quirky Molopo Kalahari Lodge. Swim and relax!
DAY 2: Khomani San / Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park: Morning walk with Khomani San trackers followed by guided game drive in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Overnight at Molopo Kalahari Lodge.
DAY 3: Augrabies Falls National Park: Half-day raft in Augrabies Falls National Park, optional visit to the Falls, overnight in the park.
DAY 4: Citrusdal: Camp / swim / enjoy this beautifully-lawned camp at the foot of the Cederberg Mountains.
DAY 5: Tour ends in Cape Town: Transfer back to Cape Town for estimated arrival time of 12-2pm.

ITINERARY
DAY 1: Cape Town to Tankwa Karoo: Boarding the bus at 7am on Friday morning we head north, stopping in Paarl for a croc farm tour and optional croc cage dive. Then it’s on to Ceres for a fast and fantastic zipline tour, and onwards to the Tankwa Karoo, an area that’s as wild and as west as it gets! Lunching at Tankwa Padstal we finish the day at our campsite where a swim or cycle can be had. It’s buffet braai for dinner and tonight we sleep in permanent tents complete with beds and linen.
DAY 2: Tankwa Karoo to Lamberts Bay: Early risers can enjoy a sunrise bike ride, turning back in time for a hearty campsite breakfast. Travelling south east, we head to ‘absolutely nowhere’ in search of the hidden village of Wupperthal, a Morvian mission station that’s home to handmade shoes and organic rooibos products. After lunch we head on to the stunning town of Lamberts Bay for a quick swim or walk on the beach before getting ready for dinner. Tonight we dine under the stars at the open air beachside restaurant Muisbosskerm, on a sumptuous selection of locally caught seafood.
DAY 3: Lamberts Bay to Cape Town: After a morning visit to Bird Island, weather permitting, we head off towards Langebaan along the coastal road for an optional horse ride or powerboat tour. Heading further south, we stop at Yzerfontein for a guided tour with a traditional !Khwa ttu San custodian. A short drive will see us arrive back in the Cape, in time to enjoy a lazy late Sunday afternoon.

This tour incorporates the absolute highlights of Namibia, sparsely populated and strikingly beautiful. A highlight of the trip is Etosha National Park, Namibia's finest game reserve, with its night time waterhole viewing and masses of large game.
Included on the route are the quirky Canyon Roadhouse with its collection of vintage cars, adrenaline capital Swakopmund, Sossusvlei, Spitzkoppe and the Fish River Canyon. Both extensive and budget-conscious, this is the ultimate adventure.

DAY 1: Orange River (D)
Today we travel to the Northern Cape, en route passing Namaqualand, home to one of the world’s most majestic wildflower displays, given sufficient winter rain. We overnight at Fiddler’s Creek, a beautiful campsite on the South African banks of the Orange River.
DAY 2: Fish River Canyon (B L D)
This morning you have the option of rafting the Orange River, before heading off to Fish River Canyon. After an awe-inspiring sunset at the viewing point, we’ll make our way to Canyon Roadhouse, a photographic highlight for its vintage cars.
DAY 3: Sesreim (B L D)
Tonight’s campsite is alongside the Namib-Naukluft National Park, near the Sesriem Canyon. After setting up camp under a Camelthorn tree we will visit the canyon, 4.5km away, for a short walk along the rim.
DAY 4: Solitaire (B L D)
A pre-dawn start into Namib-Naukluft National Park takes us first to Dune 45, so-named for its 45km distance from the park gates. Its unusual star shape makes it the most photographed dune in the world and its sunrise hues are something to be seen. After a hearty breakfast you may wish to take a 4x4 transfer into Dead Vlei, whose gnarled old Camelthorn trees are up to 800 years in age. Tonight we camp at Solitaire, famous for its apple pie.
DAY 5: Swakopmund (B)
An optional Desert Walk Tour with ‘Boesman’, long-time resident and ardent desert enthusiast, starts our day. From here we head to Swakopmund, stopping en route to visit the flamingo colony at Walvis Bay. Tonight and tomorrow we will sleep in beds.
DAY 6: Swakopmund (B)
On offer today is an incredible array of adventure activities, including but not limited to sky diving, quad biking, sand boarding and deep sea fishing. A day spent exploring this interesting town is an excellent option for the budget conscious.
DAY 7: Spitzkoppe (B L D)
Leaving the coast behind we head to Spitzkoppe Mountain; a massive granite moonscape that dominates the landscape. Camping at the site, you can explore the rock formations with or without a guide.
DAY 8: Etosha National Park (B L D)
Today is an absolute tour highlight; Etosha national park. Game driving to our campsite we enjoy dinner before heading of for an evening of waterhole game viewing, where elephant, rhino, lion and hyena are among the frequent wildlife sightings.
DAY 9: Etosha National Park (B L D)
Today we spend the day driving throughout the park in search of the Big Five and other large predators and game. If there has been little rain, we may even see leopard or cheetah out hunting.
DAY 10: Windhoek (B L)
Today we will head for Namibia’s capital city, Windhoek. Tonight you can enjoy a highlight of the Namibian food scene; Joe’s Beer House, where you can pair your beer with a range of foods, including wild game.
DAY 11: Karas (B L D)
Heading back to Namibia’s arid lands, we camp at a site that features a forest of Quiver Trees, a fascinating member of the aloe family. At 5pm you can visit the Cheetah sanctuary for their daily feeding.
DAY 12: Orange River (B L D)
Today we will return to the mighty Orange River, overnighting this time on the Namibian side of the border. Tonight’s campsite is lush and green; a welcome break from Namibia’s aridity
DAY 13: Citrusdal (B L D)
Today we make our way to Highlanders Camp, a site in view of the Cederberg mountain range. Arriving in time for a dip in the swimming pool, located on the uppermost terrace, we set up tents and enjoy a dinner under the thatched ‘lapa’. Some local wine can be tasted here.
DAY 14: Tour ends in Cape Town (B)
After breakfast we boasrd the truck for our journey back to the Cape, arriving in time for lunch.
