Tram Tracks - Music
We have two different options.
One is a wooden tram (called Storico) from the 1920s which has a capacity of approximately 26 people. There are no tables so there is no food served. There is very good, unlimited Italian wine (montepulciano d’abruzzo and vermentino di sardegna). A live performance is provided by a spectacular band and dancing shoes are encouraged! Listen to a great energetic mix of classic rock (including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Elvis), Italian American staples (such as Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin), and Italian legends (for example Lucio Battisti and Antonello Venditti). You might not know these Italian artists but you will love them! The band plays the entire show from when they arrive in piazza di porta maggiore until when they leave you there approximately 100 minutes later!
The Tram passes by some of Roma’s most beautiful monuments including Porta Maggiore, La Basilica di Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, La Basilica di San Giovanni, Colosseo, Circo Massimo, Terme di Caracalla, Piramide, including a 15 minute stop to enjoy a breathtaking view of the Colosseo.
The Storico is available (with advance notice) any day of the week.
Our other tram (called The Stanga) is from the 1960s and has 7 tables for four people and 5 tables for two people. (Full capacity is 38 people). Since there are tables you have the option to also have catering in addition to the wine. Our typical menu is an apericena and consists of: buffalo mozzarella coming from the world famous Rivabianca farm of Paestum, pasta fredda, mini Panini, caponata – a Sicilian vegetable treat made with tomatoes, eggplant olives and onions, quiche and frittata.
With the exception of the food, there is no difference between the two shows.
The Stanga is usually only available on Sundays and Mondays for us (but maybe if you request it they would give it you on another day of the week).
The normal price for the Storico show is EURO 39,99 per person and the normal price for the Stanga is EURO 54,99 per person.
This will be an evening none of you will ever forget!
