Safari Adventures is a company organizing whole year round guided tours, daytrips and outdoor activities in Crete.
Adventure, hospitality, professionalism,pure untouched areas and unique views are just some of our basic characteristics in order to create a memorable day for our guests.

Mission:
Our mission is to promote the Cretan culture, the history, the values, the traditions, and visit pure-untouched areas far away from mass tourism to everybody interested in.
Discover the Real Crete from the sea up to the mountains and follow the local lifesftyle.

Aim:
Our aim is to inform and show our visitor’s places away from urban centers, taste local products, understand our culture and realize the strategic position and self efficiency that this island offers.

Scheduling:
We work whole year round.
Scheduled tours are offered daily where the guests can choose from any of the tour options. If guests wish an alternatively, a custom or tailor-made or private tour we can organize it but different rates and scheduling may apply depending on the type of tour.

Staff:
All of our tours are conducted by professionals well-trained guides. No customer will drive a Jeep or a boat or may go unaccompanied to any of our tours or activities.
Our guides are professionals, certified and empowered with lot of fun, Cretan hospitality, love, passion and kindness on what they do helping you spending a memorable day.

Fleet:
Safari Adventures owns special equipped expedition four wheel drive Land Rover Defenders nine Seated that we use them for all Jeep Safari and Hikking Safari activities.
For all the adventure speedboat tours Safari Adventures owns a Revenger 29' (9.6 meters) RIB boat 12 seated special equipped also.

The Safari Adventures company is very conscious about respecting the island’s natural sources, history, and culture. Our principles as company and as human beings have a lot to do with the protection of the natural environment and of course our role as local business owners and guides is oriented towards the same direction.
Being inspired by the island of Crete, we continually try to create new ways to advance the island’s sustainability, to turn our principles into actions and to sensitize about local ecology.
We make sure that our company, the surrounding environment and the places that we visit, in general remain clean.
We collaborate with various local businesses targeting a holistic development for the island of Crete.
Safari Adventures act as volunteer rescue company, offering our guides, special expedition vehicles and Rib Boat, whenever and wherever we are needed.

Combine a unique wine tasting, in one of the most famous vineyards of Crete, with the history and the traditions of the Island and find out all about the lifestyle of a Cretan shepherd by exploring an original shepherd’s hut. Enjoy the unique view of Chania from above and meet the wildlife of Crete by the help of our Land Rovers, driven by expert English speaking guides.
Arriving at the Vineyard, you will learn everything there is to know about the production of Cretan wines before proceeding to the winery and the underground cellars. The well-trained staff will show us around the vineyards and winery. You will enjoy walking around while you soak up the local flavor and culture of the wines.
Our amazing off-road adventure starts after climbing up the White Mountains and passing through Meskla village which is situated under plane trees, beside the river Keritis. On the way up to the shepherd’s “Mitato” you will enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of northern Crete and, If we are lucky ... eagles and wild goats will show up and give us a very good reason for some extra photo stops. Arriving at Therisso and working up an appetite we visit a small traditional tavern where we will be welcomed by the owner, to introduce us to Cretan cuisine with plenty of food, wine and warm Cretan hospitality. A small rocky road will lead us up to our trip’s highest point 1350 meters in altitude, where you will find out all about the lifestyle of a shepherd and explore his original Shepherd's hut "Mitato". There will be free time for taking photos and exploring the area. On our way back we will pass through the amazing gorge of Therisso that will lead us to the city of Chania.

Don't Forget
This trip is not recommended for people suffering from car sickness, fear of heights or bumpy roads, disabled people or people with mobility problems, children under 8 years old or for any children & adults who for some reason could have issues joining a Jeep tour.
Wine tasting is not allowed for participants under 18 years old. (Water or fresh orange juice will be offered instead).
Don’t forget your comfortable shoes (for example trekking shoes or sandals), camera, sun protection, etc. During spring and autumn we advise you to bring a jacket.
Safari Adventures reserves the right to make minor changes in the program when this is considered necessary, for example in case of unfavorable weather conditions. This can be done without prior notice.
Reservations must be made in advance, no later than 24 hours before departure. A cancellation must be done 48 hours before departure. In case of later cancellations, no refund will be made from Safari Adventures.
If a tour is cancelled due to few participants or bad weather conditions, Safari Adventures will refund 100% of made payments.

Description
Starting our Day trip Safari to Cretan culture we visit an Olive Mill and then a winery for a guided tour in the Cretan secret for long life! We visit an ancient olive tree which is 3000 years old and an exhibition on the history of olives.Working up an appetite we arrive at a small village tavern, where we introduce you to Cretan cuisine with plenty of food, wine and warm Cretan hospitality. On the way up to Mesavlia we cross the gorge of Deliana with its picturesque creek nestled amongst lush vegetation. There will be plenty of opportunities to take photos of sheep and goats on our way to the cavernous chapel of Ag. Paraskevi, where we will make a short stop. On the way back we will make our last stop to visit a Cretan house from 16th century, find out all about Cretan knives production process and view its collection.
